Above is the last short we shot in Chicago with some of the FND guys and some other really talented people. It's another one of our one-take shorts and we're really happy with the way it turned out! Our feature length film Red Balls was recently picked up for distribution and should be available this fall! So now half of us are in LA and the other half is still in Chicago but we're making it work. We have a lot of things in the works so we'll update on the progress of everything once things start moving along! Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. It's been great so far and we're so excited to see what happens next!

Born Ready Films proudly presents our first SKATE VIDEO, Ratchet City. Most people don't know this, but skateboarding has played a huge role in our filmmaking style and influence. In high school, many of us met through skating/filming skating and it wasn't until college that we got more into "real" filmmaking. Needless to say, it feels great to "get back to our roots." Our goal was to make something fun that anyone could watch, not just skate boarders. The skating is nothing too insane, with the exception of Ruben Aguilar, but it was an awesome experience!
Anyway, a few of us just got settled into our new house in Los Angeles and we're HYPED! So be expecting a lot more mountains and palm trees in our upcoming shorts. We have one final short that was shot on the Red Epic at a lighting stage in downtown Chicago. It's another one-take ensemble piece kind of like Cookies and Wine. We also shot a new short on the way out to California, so stay posted! Plenty of new stuff on the way. ;)
